Strawberry Ice Cream / Glace à la Fraise

7 CommentsBy zaza-cook

Are you looking for a simple dessert for the fourth of July?

Why not make strawberry ice cream?

I had so many fresh picked strawberries that it was a great opportunity to make it, and making ice cream was on my do-list.

This recipe doesn’t take long to make and you don’t need an ice cream maker.

The color of this ice cream is light pink, I didn’t want to put coloring food.

Next time I will add small pieces of strawberries, It will certainly be delicious.

Making 1,7 liter of ice cream    Preparation time : 8 minutes  Freeze time : 8 hours

Ingredients :

  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup strawberry coulis, pureed

Instructions :

  1. Use a mixer or blender to whip the cream until peaks form (do not over mix, or will create butter).
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the pureed strawberries and the sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Gently fold in the strawberry and condensed mixture into the whipped cream.
  4. Place in a freezer-safe contained with a lid, and freeze for about 8 hours.

Happy Fourth of July!
