Mixed Berry Crisp / Crumble aux Fruits Rouges

A sweat treat, perfect for any occasion. This Mixed Berry Crisp is best served warm and with vanilla ice cream, it’s a dessert to die for!

For 8 serving       Preparation time : about 30 minutes (with fresh picked strawberries)   Baking time : 45 minutes

Ingredients :

  • 4 heaping cups – mixed berries (raspberry, blackberry, strawberry)

First layer :

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Topping :

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup oats
  • 5 ounces butter, melted

Serving with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.

 

Directions :

  1. Grease and flour a 12 x 8 inch baking pan. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
  2. Clean the berries and place in the prepared pan. Mix the sugar, flour, salt and lemon together and sprinkle over the berries.
  3. For the topping, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, oats and melted butter and sprinkle over the fruit. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden and the filling bubbles. Cool to warm before serving with vanilla ice cream, if desire.

  • 4 tasses pleines (600 g) de fruits rouges (framboise, mûre, fraise)

Premiére couche

  • 1/2 tasse (110 g) sucre
  • 1/4 tasse (32 g) farine
  • 1/4 cuillérée à café de sel
  • 2 cuillérées à café de jus de citron

Seconde couche

  • 1 1/2 tasses (190 g)  de farine
  • 1/4 cuillérée à café de sel
  • 1/2 tasse (110 g) sucre
  • 1 tasse (90 g ) flocons d’avoine
  • 140 g beurre fondu

Directions :

  1. Beurrez et farinez un plat rectangulaire de 12 x 8 in  (30 x 20 cm). Préchauffez le four à 350 degrés F. (180 degrés C.).
  2. Rincez les fruits à l’eau et disposez les dans votre plat.
  3. Mélangez le sucre, la farine, le sel et le citron ensemble, et déposez ce premier mélange sur les fruits.
  4. Mélanger ensuite la farine, le sel, le sucre, les flocons d’avoine et le beurre fondu. Déposez ce deuxième mélange dans le plat.
  5. Faire cuire 45-50 minutes, où jusqu’à ce que le dessus soit doré.
  6. Servir tiéde, nature ou avec de la glace à la vanille.

Tiède, ce dessert est à tomber par terre!
